Adél (she/her) is an animation filmmaker and illustrator based in Budapest and London.

She has learned the basics of animation and filmmaking at Illyés Academy of Arts in Hungary, then continued her studies on the Contemporary Media Practice course at the University of Westminster in London.

Each of her works is an audiovisual thought process: by experimenting with different techniques and mediums she creates multidimensional experiences to observe and point out the links between the natural and artificial world. Instead of giving answers with her films and illustrations her aim is to raise questions for the audience.

She mostly works with 2D analog and digital techniques, using hand drawn frame by frame process to create subtle abstract narratives with aquarelle, ink, pencil or oil pastel.

Using these materials, she creates a poetic world with surreal visual style.

Her debut film, Password to the ***** (2021) has screened at numerous international festivals including Annecy International Film Festival, Bucheon International Animation Festival, Festival of Animation Berlin and Sweaty Eyeballs Animation Festival.
